Melissa Yao, MD

Melissa Yao was born in Oakland, grew up in Alameda, and completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!). She attended medical school at UCLA and completed an ocular pathology research fellowship at the University of Utah Moran Eye Center.

After spending five years away, Melissa is excited to return to the Bay Area and serve her community. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, weightlifting, cooking, caring for her houseplants, and spending time outdoors—hiking, paddleboarding, tide pooling, and more.
