Malini Pasricha, MD Malini Veerappan Pasricha was born in Forest Hills, NY and moved to CA when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Palo Alto, CA with her parents and two sisters. She attended Duke University for college, where she designed her own major titled Global Health Disparities and Development Strategies. She continued on at Duke University for medical school, where she worked closely with Dr. Cynthia Toth on optical coherence tomography-based biomarkers of progression of age-related macular degeneration. She completed her transitional year internship at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and ophthalmology residency at Stanford University. She is currently a first-year fellow in vitreoretinal surgery at West Coast Retina. Her career aspirations are to provide the highest quality of care for her patients, promote the presence of women in ophthalmology, and become a leader in improving eye health accessibility to populations across the world. In her free time, Malini loves spending time with her husband and family, traveling the world, exploring new restaurants, playing board games, going shopping, hosting parties, watching movies, and drinking boba.
